Gardening…

The lovely garden people came and planted lawn and lots of plants in our garden. Some before and after pictures….

Before: Kolya (just out of bed, and wearing his Thomas the Tank Engine pyjamas – a gift from his granny in the north!) tries to rake the tiles. The garden had a mix of tiles with small stones, and very patchy grass. The previous owners had dogs, so most of the lawn had been pawed out.

The space all cleared…

Angle down the whole garden…

Later, with the compost all raked over nicely

Kolya gets helping with the grass plugs…

Later still:

I’ll have to take more pictures of the lovely fruit and veggie barrels along the side wall…

Now we’re just waiting for it all to settle in and grow!

Looks fantastic Lisa! Just need some of that nourishing, soft Cape rain now.

Cliche, I know, but can’t believe how big and tall Kolya has become. More of a boy than a baby now!

Thanks! And yes about the rain.. everyday I look longingly at the weather report with its endless 0% probability of rain. Any minute now, autumn is gonna arrive. I’ve been cooking stews and crumbles to try will it along…

Grooooooooooooooooow little grass plugs! Gotta be strong to survive the winter…

They’ve already doubled in area… weirdly exciting to watch grass grow 🙂
