Tierhoek Cottages, Robertson

Our little cottage

The main house, aka “The Rowdy House”.

Cooling off after a walk around the organic farm.

Outside our house there were three donkeys and some sheep and some little field mice and loads of gorgeous birds.

It was quite tempting just to stay on the stoep all day.

With occasional dips in the pool.

This got dubbed the Lebra hat. Dave remains unswayed in his loyalty towards it. Me less so.

We had ideas for going on a bit of a wine route on the way to lunch. But the stoep held me (and my lovely candy mint nail polish) hostage for far too long, so we only managed a stop-in at Springfield, home of the famous Life From Stone wine. (I’m not much of a wine drinker, so was quite happy to lurk outside the tasting room.)

Happy boys drinking Life From Stone.
